Obituary of Ellen Cahill

Ellen Martha Bryans Cahill, 91, widow of Jerry M. Cahill, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on October 21, 1921, in Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of the late Frank Willis Bryans and the late Sarah Berney Cahill. Mrs. Cahill was a member of Prince George, Winyah Episcopal Church and the Women of Wedgefield group. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include five children, Jerry Cahill (Bonnie) of Martinez, CA, Bruce Cahill of New Lebanon, NY, Sarah Cahill of Georgetown, Brian Cahill (Joann) of Bristol, Conn. and Chris Cahill of Georgetown; 15 grandchildren, Sean, Matthew, Rebecca, Lisa, Steven, David, Daniel, Richard, Jonathan, Melissa, Tabitha, Toy, Joseph, Benjamin and Joshua; nine great grandchildren, Jordan, Rachel, Zoey, Aria, Matthew, Mathias, Gavyn, Bradley, Ella; and a sister, Winifred Denny of Buffalo, NY. She was preceded in death by a son, James Cahill; one brother, Willis Bryans; and one sister, Margaret Drake. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Prince George, Winyah Episcopal Church.
