Obituary of Betty Moore

Betty Pinner Moore, 85, wife of Alvin Isiah Moore, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on May 4, 1928, in Bucksport, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin Pinner and the late Louise Edge Pinner. Mrs. Moore was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. She enjoyed many things in life to include cooking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; two children, Nancy M. Harter (Larry) of Richmond, VA and Carl P. Moore (Monica) of Pawleys Island; six grandchildren, Jason D. Moore of James Island, Rachel M. Rutledge (William) of Alexandria, VA, Kelli Hl Holtorf (Adam) of Peoria, AZ, Alyson M. Harter of Richmond, VA, Kimberly A. Moore of Murrells Inlet and Carl Patrick Moore, II (Brittany) of Murrells Inlet; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia Hearl of Georgetown. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Alvin Moore. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Lakewood Baptist Church with the Rev Larry Deeter officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
