Obituary of Carol Prosser

Carol Powers Prosser, 75, widow of Elbert Percy Prosser, Jr., passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on January 31, 1938, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late Dewey Powers and the late Lila Marsh Powers. Mrs. Prosser was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include two children, William Clay Prosser (Sarah Grainger) and Dawn Prosser Elliott (Eric Hemeon) all of Georgetown; seven grandchildren, William Clay Prosser, Jr., Joshua Robert Elliott, Abigayle Brooke Elliott, Catherine Elizabeth Grainger, Madeline Elise Grainger, Kelsea Ann Hemeon and Tara Nicole Hemeon; one brother in law, Robert Driggers of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Elbert Percy "Eb" Prosser; two sisters, Louise Driggers and Bertha Martin; and one brother, Dewey Powers. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Cornerstone Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
