Verma Nobles Miller, 78, wife of James Ronald Miller, Sr., passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born on August 21, 1934, in Horry County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Nobles and the late Mattie Williams Nobles. Mrs. Miller was a devoted member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday school class she also served as a former Sunday school teacher, choir member and enjoyed working in the church nursery and kitchen. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; a son, James Ronald "Ronnie" Miller, Jr. (Eugenia) of Georgetown; one grandson, James Ronald "Ron" Miller, III (Elizabeth) of Georgetown; two brothers, Oscar Nobles (Mildred) and Isaac Hal Nobles (Rachel) all of Conway; two sisters, Cassie Bernice Doyal and Ida Eulene Todd (Donnie) all of Conway; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Queen Victoria Moore; and two brothers, James K. Nobles and Windel C. "Neal" Nobles.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Johnson and Rev. Themos Cribb officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Ringel Heights Baptist Church.
