Obituary of Vellna Rogerson

Vellna Joan Rogerson, 73, widow of Cecil P. "Red" Rogerson, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on October 30, 1939, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Douglas Casselman and the late Adeline Herrington Casselman. Mrs. Rogerson was a loving wife, mother, granny and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Survivors include two children, Willie D. Rogerson and Kathy M. Howard (Wendell) all of Andrews; four grandchildren, Shannon Rogerson (Leslie) of Georgetown, Doug Rogerson (Jennifer) of Andrews, Kim Elliott (Timothy) of Andrews and Melissa Howard of Andrews; seven great grandchildren, Tanner Rogerson, Hunter Rogerson, Ricky Rogerson, William Rogerson, Victoria Rogerson, Ashley Elliott and Macie Elliott; and a sister in law, Canelia White of Andrews. She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Midge Rogerson; a granddaughter, Betty Rogerson; one brother; and four sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. David Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday at Graham Funeral Home.
