George Scott Marlowe, Jr., 54, husband of Elizabeth Lyne "Beth" Marlowe, passed away on June 21, 2013 in Sevierville, TN. Born on March 3, 1959, in Georgetown, he was a son of George Scott Marlowe, Sr. and Amelia Morrison Marlowe. Mr. Marlowe was a member of Prince George, Winyah Episcopal Church where he was involved in many church activities to include a member of the Vestry, a Lay Reader, and a youth group volunteer. He enjoyed many things in life to include playing golf, fishing, hunting and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; parents of McClellanville; two children; Ashley Moody (Will) of Pawleys Island and Will Marlowe of Georgetown; one grandchild, Elle Moody of Pawleys Island; two brothers, Wade Marlowe (Vicki) and Ross Marlowe (Tracey) all of Georgetown; one nephew, Jake Marlowe; and one niece, Grace Marlowe. He was preceded in death by a son, George S. "Scottie" Marlowe, III. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Prince George, Winyah Episcopal Church with the Very Rev. Paul Fuener officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with a reception to follow in the church rectory yard. The family will receive friends at the home. Memorials may be made to Camp Woodie, 9833 Old River Rd. Pinewood, SC 29125, Prince George Preschool, 708 Highmarket St. Georgetown, SC 29440 or to Tara Hall School, 510 Tara Hall Rd.
