William Carraway Johnson, 77, husband of Katherine L. Johnson, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at his home. Born on December 23, 1935, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late James E. Johnson and the late Enver Carraway Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of Johnson Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and working. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two sons, William H. Johnson (Teresa) and Norman S. Johnson both of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Ashley M .Johnson and William D. Johnson; two sisters, Hazel Seitter and Margaret E. Waldron both of Georgetown; three brothers, Donald W. Johnson and Sydney R. Johnson (Susan) both of Georgetown and Stephen P. Johnson (Lisa) of St. Stephens; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ada "Kitty" Fallis and Frances McSwain; and three brothers, Everette E. Johnson, J. Roger Johnson and James B. Johnson. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 14, 2013 at Johnson Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Stephen P. Candal officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Johnson Chapel Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Johnson Chapel Baptist Church, 141 Van Vlake Dr. Georgetown, SC 29440 or to Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC 29440.
