Obituary of Joyce McConnell

Joyce Diane Harter McConnell, 66, wife of Roy E. McConnell, Sr., died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on January 22, 1947, in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Marion Alfred Harter and the late Clara Christine Kikker Harter. Mrs. McConnell loved to crochet. Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; four sons, Roy E. McConnell, Jr., John W. McConnell (Mary), Joseph A. McConnell (Bridgette) and Scott M. McConnell (Pam) all of Georgetown; one sister, Shirley Cribb (O’Neal) of Georgetown; two brothers, Glen Harter and Randy Harter both of Georgetown; 18 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher R. Harter. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 25, 2013 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating.
