Obituary of Cherry McKnight

Cherry Leslie Bellflower McKnight, widow of Herman P. McKnight, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at her home.
Born on July 21, 1921, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late Peter Thomas Bellflower and the late Lottie Elizabeth Owens Bellflower. Mrs. McKnight was a member of Screven Baptist Church and the Deborah Sunday School Class. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Mrs. McKnight was a shining example of a devoted Christian woman who lived her life in service to others.
Survivors include six children, Katherine Bell (Tom) of Ladson, Sandra Landress of North Augusta, Judy Ulrich (Glenn) of James Island, Linda Jones (Jack) of Georgetown, Shirley Stanton (Don) of Wilmington and Terry McKnight (Nickie) of McClellanville; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Bennie Bellflower of Ashville, NC; a number of nieces and nephews; and her poodle, Charlie.
She was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Sophia McKnight and Marin Hadden; one sister, Nita McSwain; and two brothers, Grover Bellflower and Albert Bellflower.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 26, 2013 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain John Edwards and Elder Mike Goude officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to express their love and gratitude to Hospice Care of South Carolina, especially Frances Robinson and Kayla Mau.
