James Hugh Thames, 66, widower of Sue Thames, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on December 18, 1946, in Charleston, he was a son of the late B.G. Thames, Jr. and the late Nona Bradshaw Thames. Survivors include two sisters, Charlotte Thames Morse (Julian) of McClellanville and Harriett Thames Hutchenson (Eddie) of Moncks Corner; one niece, Julia Anna Morse Burbage of Charleston; and two nephews, William Bill Hutchenson of Charleston and Julian Wesley Morse (Lacey) of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Ann Thames. A Graveside Service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, April 21, 2013 in the Wrens Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. James Harper officiating. Memorials may be made to Georgetown County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, PO Box 1471, Georgetown, SC 29442 or to McClellanville United Methodist Church, PO Box 242 McClellanville, SC 29458.
