Obituary of Richard Johnson

Richard Cromwell Johnson, Jr., 72, widower of Naomi M. Johnson, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Born on September 29, 1940, in Georgetown, he was the son of Lena Miller Johnson and the late Richard Cromwell Johnson, Sr. Mr. Johnson was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and was retired from the United States Postal Service. Survivors include his mother of Georgetown; three sons, Monty Johnson of Conway Tony Johnson (Amanda) of Conway and Vic Johnson (Barbara) of Honea Path; and six grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Morgan Johnson and Ali Johnson all of Conway and Emily Johnson, Kateland Johnson and Ellen Johnson all of Honea Path. Funeral Services will be held at 2PM Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Lakewood Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Deeter officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Tuesday at Graham Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, 810 Maxwell Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646 or to Lakewood Baptist Church, 171 Lakewood Ave. Georgetown, SC 29440.
