Obituary of Patricia Ruiz

Patricia Haywood Hopper Ruiz, 59, wife of Jose Heziquio Ruiz Sierra, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Born on September 11, 1953, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Haywood Elton Hopper and the late Ruth Agnes Ankersen Hopper. Mrs. Ruiz was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church, worked in the mail room at Georgetown Hospital and enjoyed photography. Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; a daughter, April K. O’Dell (Mike) of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Anthony O’Dell, Zachery O’Dell and Alexis O’Dell; three sisters, Ann H. Wilson (Billy), Frances H. Howard (John) and Mary Agnes Richardson all of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 2, 2013 at St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Graham Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM and other times at the home of Frances and John Howard on Cedar Street.
