Obituary of David Mincey

David Cardell Mincey, Sr., 82, widower of Betty Ann Tanner Mincey and Patricia Ann Lewis Mincey, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on June 8, 1930, in Winnsboro, he was a son of the late Julian Wade Mincey and the late Nellie Burckhalter Mincey. Mr. Mincey was a member of Center Baptist Church and attended Fireside Ministries. He was retired from International Paper Company and was a former member of Woodman of the World. Mr. Mincey enjoyed playing cards, spending time with friends and enjoyed a good cup of coffee. Survivors include four children, Cynthia Goude (James) of Hemingway, Vickey Ann Mincey of Surfside Beach, DeWayne Mincey (Paulette) of Andrews and David Mincey (Traci) of Loris; seven grandchildren, Carisa Goude, Eric Mincey, Brad Mincey, Patrick Mincey, Philip Mincey Rebecca Mincey and Caitlynn Ann Mincey; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Judy Sprouse (Don) of Lockhart. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Mincey, Richard Mincey and Larry Mincey; and three sisters, Grace Shields Self, Susan Denton and Shirley Dimitri. An inurnment service will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Center Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorial may be made Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC 29440.
