Obituary of Jerry Lambert

Jerry Lambert, Jr., 79, husband of Dorothy Poole Lambert, passed away on December 24, 2012 at his home. Born on November 3, 1933, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Jerry Lambert, Sr. and the late Carrie Miller Lambert. Mr. Lambert was a member of First Assembly of God and retired from International Paper Company after 34 years of service. After retirement, Mr. Lambert’s love for people led him to become a greeter with Wal-Mart in Georgetown for 17 years. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; three children, Michael W. Lambert (Marilyn) of Georgetown, Susan L. Stewart (John) of Pawleys Island and Jatanna L. Gilbert (Eddie) of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Michael W. Lambert, Jr. (Renee) of Georgetown, Nicholas Lambert (Tiffany) of Georgetown, Will Stewart of Pawleys Island , Stephen Stewart of Pawleys Island, Dwayne Gilbert of Georgetown and Kayla Gilbert of Georgetown; four great grandchildren, Karlie Lambert, Kailee Lambert, Heaven Lambert and Brice Lambert; one sister, Arveta Avant of Redwood, MS; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Mary Lou Hartfield Lambert; two sons, Barry G. Lambert and Jeffery A. Lambert; a sister, Margie Avant; and two brothers, Kenneth Lambert and Ravon Lambert. Funeral Services will be held at 2PM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Brad Morris and Rev. Dave Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Graham Funeral Home.
