Obituary of James Dimery

Mr. James Dimery, 91, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Prince George Healthcare Center. Mr. Dimery was born December 6, 1924 in Anyor, South Carolina, a son of the late Causey Dimery and Dazdie Turner Dimery. He was retired from International Paper Company’s Container Division with forty-two years of service and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Mr. Dimery attended Georgetown Pentecostal Church where he was a member of the Men’s Fellowship. He enjoyed his retirement, spending time with friends and family and visiting the Ball & Que restaurant. Surviving are, a son, Jimmy Dale Dimery (Mary Jane) of Georgetown; a step-daughter, Nancy Malone of Conway; one brother, Lynn Dimery (Cathy) of Surfside; four grandsons, Andy Howard (Rhonda), Greg Howard, Dale Dimery (Sherri), Matthew Dimery (Rachel); one step-grandson, Johnny Malone; two step-granddaughters, Catrina Malone and Lisa Malone; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sadie Phipps Dimery; a daughter, Linda Dimery Howard; and a sister, Nettie Dimery Turner. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Graham Funeral Home with burial following in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice, 2591 N. Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
