Obituary of Barbara Anne Flaherty South

Barbara Anne Flaherty South, 75, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Tidelands Health Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born October 12, 1940 in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of the late Corneilius Flaherty and the late Mary Jusza Flaherty. Mrs. South was a devoted member of Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church. She enjoyed golf and cryptogram puzzles in her free time. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, George Bair South, Jr.; her daughters, Helen Beck (Anthony) of New Jersey and Jennifer South-Moran (Ben) of Connecticut; her son, George B. South (Amy) of New Jersey; her brothers Lawrence Bradbury and Kenneth Bradbury, both of New York; her grandchildren, Luke Beck, Melissa Moreno, Christian Berdot, Gwendolyn Moran, Abigail South, Maxwell South; her great grandchild, Sophia Moreno; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Perron; a brother, Neil Flaherty; and a step-father, Phillip Bradbury. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
