Obituary of Gary Phillip Ogburn

Gary Phillip Ogburn, 67, husband of Kathy Skipper Ogburn, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at his residence.

A visitation will be held at the home of Beverly Wilson, his sister, at 88 Barony View in Georgetown, South Carolina on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 4:30pm-6:30pm.

Born in Georgetown, South Carolina on October 6, 1950, Mr. Ogburn was a son of the late William Benjamin Ogburn and the late Margaret Lucille Warren Ogburn.

Mr. Ogburn was a National Guard veteran who also served in the Army Reserve. He was a graduate of Winyah High School and retired from Verizon after 34 years of service.  Mr. Ogburn was an avid hunter and fisherman who spent his free time surrounded by friends and family. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed dearly.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 45 years, are his daughter, Kimberly Ogburn Edwards (Michael); a grandson, Jameson Edwards; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Edwards; and a sister Beverly O. Wilson (D.I.), all of Georgetown.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Benjamin F. Ogburn and W. Wayne Ogburn.
