Obituary of Annette Harvey Buice

Emily Annette Buice, (Annette), 77, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 22, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 23, 1939 in Barnwell, SC and raised in Bamberg, SC. Annette was the daughter of the late Herman and Voncile Harvey. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Georgetown for 45 years. Annette spent the early years of her married life serving as an Air Force wife and later enjoyed traveling around the country with her husband Robert, while he worked for Walmart as the District Manager. She loved to garden, sew and cross stitch, and never missed out on a sale at Belk. She enjoyed being with family and hosting holidays at her home. Annette is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Lewis Buice, Sr. whom she had known since the first grade; son, Robbie Buice (Angie) of Pawleys Island, daughter Sylvia Ann Buice Martin of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Emily Albert (Drew) of Murrells Inlet, Tori Martin Bowers of Charleston, Kamie Buice of Charleston, and Keith Martin of Georgetown; two great-grandchildren Brayden Bowers and Everett Bowers of Charleston; and numerous in-laws and extended family whom were very dear to her heart. Annette is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Harvey. A visitation will be held from 10:30 – 11:30 AM Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Georgetown; followed immediately by the funeral service. Interment will be in the Bamberg Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Habitat for Humanity of Georgetown at PO Box 2411, Georgetown, SC 29442.
