Ronald Lamar Watson, 78, husband of Audrey Ann Lowrimore Watson, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at his residence. A visitation will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 from 10am to 11:30am at Graham Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service, officiated by Rev. Chris Giles, will follow the visitation and be held at North Hampton Baptist Church Cemetery at 12pm on Friday, March 10, 2017. Born in Salisbury, North Carolina on September 21, 1938, he was a son of the late Kerman Octavius Watson and the late Dorothy Elizabeth Trexler Watson. Mr. Watson was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed watching Westerns or wrestling and spending time with family and friends over great meals. He went to radio broadcast school and supported himself on his own in D.C. at the age of 17. He retired from the Steel Mill and after retiring, worked at the Food Lion in Maryville and the Piggly Wiggly in Pawleys Island. He also worked at WGTN. Surviving in addition to his wife of 51 years, are his two sons, Ronnie Watson (Shirley) and Reggie Watson (Elizabeth) both of Georgetown; two daughters, Ahna Miller (Mitch) of Andrews and Kim Phipps (Jason) of Georgetown; eight grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Terry Watson, and one sister, Sandra Jordan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regency Hospice at 600 Garden City Connector, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.grahamfuneralhome.org.
