Obituary of Amy D. McCormick

Amy Lynn Douglas McCormick, 43, wife of Thomas Ray McCormick, Jr., passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at her residence. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Graham Funeral Home from 6-8pm. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Tim Crabtree and Rev. Mitch Anderson, will be held at United Christian Outreach, 1414 Gilbert Street, at 3pm on Thursday, June 16, 2016. Interment will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Born September 12, 1972 in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of Margaret P. Douglas Goodwin and the late JW Douglas. Mrs. McCormick was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She was a graduate of Bennettsville High School and of Chesterfield Tech with an associate’s degree in Business. She was previously employed at Wachovia. Mrs. McCormick was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bennettsville and more recently a member of United Christian Outreach. Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter, Bethany Leigh McCormick; her son, Thomas Seth McCormick; four sisters, Dianne Thompson of Camden, SC, Brenda Rogers (David) of Blenheim, SC, Betty Boulter (George) of Fort Mill, SC, Mary Harris of Socastee, SC; one brother, Ronnie Douglas (Lisa) of Florence, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willis and Lillian Caulk and Neal and Sarah Douglas.
