Mary Jane Roach Renfro, 83, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale, Illinois.
Mrs. Renfro, a retired high school art teacher, was born December 4, 1931 in East Saint Louis, Illinois, the daughter of the late Edward Miller Roach and Marie Farley Roach.
Surviving are: 2 brothers, Robert Roach (Beverly) of Valrico, Florida, Edward Roach (Stina) of Maplewood, Missouri; 2 sons, Charles Duncan Miller Renfro IV (Barbara) of Tacoma, Washington and Phillip Edward Renfro of Carbondale, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Kaytlin Renfro of Decatur, Georgia, Sarah Renfro of Michigan, Elizabeth Renfro of Carbondale, Illinois , and Charles Duncan Miller Renfro V of New York City.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Katherine Nance and her daughter Linda Nance, friends and neighbors of Marsh Walk Villas in Garden City, as well as her traveling companion Nancy Corragall.
