Hazel Norris, 76, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on August 22, 1938, in Columbus County, NC, she was a daughter of Gertha Norris and the late Earl Norris. She was a member of Screven Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School class and a former member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte where she sang in the church choir. Survivors include her mother of Georgetown; a brother, Ed Norris (Nancy) of Georgetown; a sister, Barbara Norris Hunt (Tony “K”) of Laurenburg, NC; a sister in law, Judy Norris of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dock Norris; and a nephew, Shawn Norris. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Screven Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Williams officiating. Burial will follow at 3 PM in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Tabor City, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC 29440. Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of the arrangements. www.grahamfuneralhome.org
