Marvin E. "Jack" Williamson, 79, husband of Jeannette Bostick Williamson died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at his home in Panama City Beach, Fl. Born on May 29, 1931 in Loris he was a son of the late John Daniel Williamson and the late Maude Cox Williamson. Mr. Williamson was an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and served in the National Guard for 43 years. He was retired from International Paper Company with 44 years of service, enjoyed golfing and was a loving husband and devoted father. Survivors include his wife of 58 years; two children, Vicky Chastain (Greg) of Panama City Beach, Fl. and Michael Williamson (Elizabeth) of Georgetown; one granddaughter, Christina McManus of California; two great grandchildren; and three brothers, Ottis Williamson (Carol) of Florence, Norman Williamson (Helen) of Tennessee and Raymond "Lucky" Williamson (Cookie) of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Doris Assey. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, May 23, 2011 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Luford O. Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Sunday at Graham Funeral Home. The family has asked that memorials be made to an animal rescue organization or charity of one’s choice.
