Obituary of Fred Cribb

Fred Donnie Cribb, Sr., 72, husband of Pat M. Cribb died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on December 24, 1938 in Georgetown County he was the son of the late Fred R. Cribb and the late Eunice C. Cribb. Mr. Cribb was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church where he served in many capacities which included the Pulpit Committee, Church Committee, Kitchen Committee, Deacon’s Board and was the former President of Brother Hood. He was also a member of the Senior Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Boggy Swamp Hunting Club where he served as past President and Secretary. Mr. Cribb was retired from International Paper Company where he was a member of the Century Club. Mr. Cribb enjoyed hunting, fishing, working the fields with his tractor but most important of all was his loving devotion for his church and service to the Lord. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; five children, Anthony "Tony" Cribb (Linda) of Pleasant Hill, Melanie Eliason (Alan) of Florence, Nannette Moore (Kelley) of Georgetown, Fred Donnie Cribb, Jr. of Pleasant Hill and Nicole Spell (Daniel) of Burlington, NC; 13 grandchildren, Ashley, Timmy, Gary, Tony Michelle, Danielle, D.J., J.D., Megan, Courtney, Josh, Annie Ruth, Earl and Ashes. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Friday, January 28, 2011 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Giles and Rev. John Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Ringel Heights Baptist Church Life Center Fund, 78 Rubin Ave., Georgetown, SC 29440.
